I had a truly unforgettable experience staying at a retreat nestled in nature's embrace. The rustic charm and idyllic surroundings of the lodge made me feel like I was in my own little paradise. The shared bathrooms were clean and well-maintained, and the bathtubs were a luxurious treat. The owner, Toni, was incredibly warm and helpful, making me feel right at home. I loved sitting on the lodge's deck, soaking in the peaceful ambiance while listening to the melodic tunes of bellbirds. The close encounters with New Zealand falcons were a delightful bonus for a bird enthusiast like me. Despite a minor hiccup with the shower and toilet paper placement, the overall comfort and coziness of my stay more than made up for it. With its rich history and modern amenities, I highly recommend this retreat for a tranquil getaway.

Wow! the peace and tranquillity were breathtaking! the view was incredible - crystal-clear water and mountains that looked like they had been painted on the horizon. We loved being able to sit outside in the sunshine, surrounded by nature. the complimentary breakfast and coffee were a great way to start our day. the staff was friendly and helpful, giving us advice on the best activities in the area. We especially enjoyed the sunset boat tour!
The rooms were a bit small, and the bathroom was a shared one. the cleanliness and warm shower made up for it.

The Thanksgiving holiday at the hotel was amazing. The two-hour hike to see the stunning mountain view was unforgettable, and the clean and well-equipped kitchen was fantastic. , the staff was great and made sure we had everything we needed.
The Wi-Fi was not up to our expectations and the cost of dining was extravagant for the standard of accommodation.

We had an amazing stay at this cozy lodge at the edge of the world. the host was incredibly friendly and helpful. the dining room was warm and inviting, perfect for those chilly winter nights. the room we stayed in was a bit small, but the hot water bottles provided added a nice touch. the surrounding area was absolutely stunning, with beautiful mountains and plenty of walking trails. Plus, the shared kitchen was well-equipped for preparing our own meals.
The set menu portions were a bit on the small side.
